Everyone you meet knows something you don't know. Be willing to learn from them. ~ Anonymous
- April is a very busy month with field trips and testing. Please check our classes' online calendar to be aware of all the dates and times for testing. Also, make sure your student is getting plenty of rest and eating a good breakfast for all of these events.
- Grades will be updated by Monday, April 15. Mid-Fourth quarter is Tuesday, April 16.
Communication Arts: Students are required to have a book to read at all times. They can bring a book from home, check one out in the library, or in our classroom.
- Reading Logs: Reading logs will be sent home every Monday. Students are required to read a total of 100 minutes per week. Reading logs must be filled out completely and signed by a parent/guardian. Completed reading logs must be turned in the following Monday.
- MAP TESTING (10 to 11:55)
- Literacy Focus: Monday will be an activity day where we practice various reading skills. We have begun reading the book Around the World in 80 Days by Jules Verne and we will be doing various multicultural activities with this book.
- Writing Focus: Student of the week letter. Proof reading practice with capitalization, punctuation, and parts of speech.
- Congratulations to our Language Arts Department (LAD Fair) Winners! Click on the link for further information. If you choose to attend fair day, April 27, please do NOT take home the writings. I will gather all the writings that were submitted by our students. You are welcome to take a picture and then place the writing back in the pile.
