Communication Arts: Students are required to have a book to read at all times. They can bring a book from home, check one out in the library, or in our classroom.
- Reading Logs: Reading logs will be sent home every Monday. Students are required to read a total of 100 minutes per week. Reading logs must be filled out completely and signed by a parent/guardian. Completed reading logs must be turned in the following Monday.
- Literacy Focus: Compare and Contrast
- Writing Focus: Using research to complete a Power Point and create a background for their famous American studies. Students should be practicing their speeches nightly to have them memorized by the Feb. 25.
Math:
- Tuesday: Division Retest
- Wednesday-Friday: Begin unit on fractions. Ms. Moran and Ms. Ludwig will be helping teach the unit on fractions. These ladies are math practicum students from Evangel who have been in our classroom observing me teach math and are required to teach a couple of lessons for their class.
- Homework: Various Worksheets and Study Links. Check your students planners for when they have homework.
- Students have begun working on a web quest: The Animal Inside Me.
- American Revolution: Declaring Independence
- Various activities, worksheets, and videos to enhance understanding of the events leading up to the American Revolution.
