Communication Arts: Students are required to have a book to read at all times. They can bring a book from home, check one out in the library, or in our classroom.
  • Reading Logs: Reading logs will be sent home every Monday. Students are required to read a total of 100 minutes per week. Reading logs must be filled out completely and signed by a parent/guardian. Completed reading logs must be turned in the following Monday.
  • Literacy Focus: Character Traits and Setting
  • Completion of book clubs.
  • Writing Focus: First Person Speeches
Word Study: Sort 13
 
  • Hyper Spellers: To recognize how words ending in –ify or –iply change with the addition of suffix -ation
  • Super Spellers: To recognize VCV and VCCV syllable-juncture patterns in words.
  • Monday: Introduction of lesson
  • Tuesday-Thursday: Spelling choices and workbook sort 13
  • Friday: Test

  • Math:
    • Due to the scores on the division test we will continue with division beginning with reviewing the test on Tuesday.
    • Homework: Various Worksheets
    Science/Health:
    • Students will working on their vertebrate project.
    Social Studies:
    • Events leading up to the American Revolution: Taxation without Representation, Colonists Speak Out, and Disagreement Continues to Grow.
    • Various activities, worksheets, and videos to enhance understanding of the events leading up to the American Revolution.
