Here is what we are learning this week:
Reader's & Writer's Workshop:
- Completed weekly reading logs are due back each Monday and must be signed by the parent.
- Literacy Focus: We will finish watching the 1956 version of the movie, Around the World in 80 Days. We will be comparing and contrasting the book with the movie. Our next class read will be Treasure Island, which will start this week.
- Grammar: Daily Sentence editing pp. 44-45. Quiz on Friday.
- Final literature extension will be due on May 7th.
- Students will prepare for Camp Disney on Thursday. Follow up over Camp Disney will be on Friday.
- Students will begin a webquest about area and perimeter. After completing the webquest, they will be working on "Dream House" projects during our class time.
- We are beginning our Health Unit this week which will focus on healthy lifestyles.
- No spelling test this week due to Camp Disney on Thursday & the Dynamics field trip on Friday.
- Practice worksheets will be assigned for homework for List 23 and will be due by Friday.
- Students continue EDMIN testing in the computer lab this week.
