- February Literature Extension will be due on February 29.
- Completed weekly reading logs are due back each Monday and must be signed by the parent.
- Students should be memorizing and practicing their speeches every night. Once a speech is approved then no changes can be made. Students already know this requirement. Click on this site as a reminder of this assignment: Night at the Museum
- In writing we will be working on vocabulary and daily editing skills using a variety of activities on the smart board and games.
- Literary Focus this week: Main Idea
- Students will be creating a historical background for their famous American on their trifold boards.\
- A permission slip for Night at the Museum will be coming home on Tuesday. Students will need to create a tip jar to go along with their famous American.
- We are focusing on Data & Probability. Students are learning to collect and use data to create various types of graphs. We are connecting this with our weather unit.
- We have been participating in the KY3 Weather School Challenge! (This contest will end on February 24.
- Students will be working with teams to learn about severe weather and will be presenting their information to the class.
- We will not have a spelling test for the next two weeks due to the short school week and our Night at the Museum next week!
Other Items of Interest:
- Please contact your homeroom teacher if you are having difficulty with finding a costume for your child to wear for Night at the Museum. We have some resources but cannot provide for everyone.
