Welcome to MAP week one!  You can help your child to be prepared for this exciting week by making sure they get a good nights rest, eat a healthy breakfast, and encourage them to do their best!

Math: 

• Please make sure your child completes their Study Link homework each night. Check their planners for which study links are due.
• Unit 9 ~ Area
• Measurement Olympics on Tuesday!
• MAP testing on Thursday of this week.

Readers Workshop:

• Tips for comprehension ~ MAP Prep.
• MAP Testing on Tuesday and Wednesday of this week.

Social Studies:

• Economics:  Junior Achievement will be coming this week to teach a lesson in economics.
• Chapter 9 ~ American Revolution

Word Study (spelling): No Spelling this week

• Monday: Create study guide and choose three choices from the spelling choice board.
• Monday - Thursday: Practice spelling words using their choices from the spelling choice board.
• Friday: None

Science/Health:

• Introduction of the scientific method.
• Perform several experiments in the classroom using the scientific method.
• Project (this will be introduced at the end of the week)
• Zoo Presentation on Monday.
• Science Rotation Day on Friday.

Writing:

• Student of the week letter.
