Welcome back from what I hope was a restful spring break.  This week we are back to work molding our minds with the following:

Math: 

• Please make sure your child completes their Study Link homework each night. Check their planners for which study links are due.
• Begin Unit 7 ~ Exponential Notation, Order of Operations

Readers Workshop: 

• Tips for comprehension ~ MAP Prep.
• Review for MAP.

Social Studies:

• Economics:  Junior Achievement will be coming this week to teach a lesson in economics.

Word Study (spelling): No Spelling this week

• Monday: Create study guide and choose three choices from the spelling choice board.
• Monday - Thursday: Practice spelling words using their choices from the spelling choice board.
• Friday: None

Science/Health:

• Introduction of the scientific method.
• Perform several experiments in the classroom using the scientific method.
• Project (this will be introduced at the end of the week)

Writing:

• Student of the week letter.
• Editing skills
• Review Conventions.
