Famous American Project:

As you have heard and read, our students will be participating in a culminating project in which they will perform as a living museum.  We know they are excited and some are trying to get a head start however, there are guidelines they must follow.  These guidelines will be given throughout the project. Below are a few reminders of what is done in class versus at home.  Thank you for honoring our classroom learning time.

Students should NOT research at home.  ALL research is to be in class according to the guidelines students will be given this week.  Please do not print anything off for the student to use.  The students will first gather their information from books that are being provided by our library.

Students should NOT write their speeches at home.  They will be given time in class and need to follow through with the writing process.  ALL writing is done in class. Once the classroom teacher has approved the speech then students will memorize their speech by practicing at home.  Speeches will not be changed once the classroom teacher has approved.

Students should NOT work on their project boards at home.  They have not been given any guidelines except to bring in their tri fold board by January 31.  Please refer to the letter for size of the tri fold board.  Students will be given the guidelines and will work on their boards in the classroom.

Students should not create a power point at home.  This will be done in class once guidelines are given.

In order to prepare our students for big projects in their educational career, we will give them time in class and a timeline in which each step should be completed. Thank you for your support and we look forward to entertaining and informing you on our big night.
