Communication
Arts: Students are required to have a book to read at all times.
They can bring a book from home, check one out in the library, or in our
classroom.
- Reading logs will be sent home every Monday. Students are required to read a total of 100 minutes per week. Reading logs must be filled out completely and signed by a parent/guardian. Completed reading logs must be turned in the following Monday.
- Literacy Focus: Draw Conclusions
- Writing Focus: Continuing with our poetry unit: diamante, cinquain, quatrain, triplet, and couplet.
- Literacy Circles: Using nonfiction,Time for Kids (TFK)
- Hyper Spellers: Recognize related words in which a vowel sound changes from long to short. Spell Check 1 will be given.
- Super Spellers: Identify spelling patterns of words with the -ed ending.
- Monday: Introduction of lesson
- Tuesday-Thursday: Spelling choices and workbook sort 8
- Friday: Test
Math: We have made Everyday math into units so you will see some skipping around in the books.
- Solving Problems Using the Geometry Template and Coordinates.
- Study Links (homework): 3.10, 9.1, Various Worksheets

Health: More Body Systems: Digestive, Nervous, Endocrine, & Urinary Systems
- Science: Continuation of the States of Matter. Then heading into mass and volume.
- Review of the first three settlements with a quiz on Monday, December 3rd.
