We need your help! Calling all parents interested in creating a learning experience of a lifetime.
WHAT: “Camp Disney” – a day long (9 am to 3 pm) on-site field trip, which provides students with a glimpse at the daily life of a Civil War soldier. Our students will dance the Virginia Reel, sample food, decode spy messages, make a haversack, write letters to soldiers, experience the medical tent, learn to march in drills, signal with flags, and so much more! It is truly an awesome experience that can only be made possible if we have enough volunteer officers. Last year was a huge success and we would love to have a repeat this year!
WHEN: We are holding “Camp Disney” on THURSDAY, MAY 3. Will you help? You do not need any special skills, just a desire to help kids learn. Volunteers can work a full day, half day, set-up before school, take down, or even just a few hours around lunchtime.
If you have been looking for a unique way to become involved in our school or just a great way to spend a beautiful spring day, please contact:
