- Introduction to the Middle Colonies starting on Thursday: Settling, Economy, and Living. There will be a worksheet with each lesson this week.
- Test over the New England Colonies on Wednesday, November 2nd.
- The 1st Quarter Benchmark test will be given this Monday. This is not given for a grade, it is a tool provided by the district to help determine if students have mastered the learning goals for the first quarter. There will not be a homework assignment on Monday.
- We are continuing our exploration of Geometry. Students will be assigned Study Links 3.5 & 3.6 for homework Tuesday and Wednesday.
- There will be a quiz on Friday. Students will need to bring home their math notebooks on Thursday to review vocabulary for the quiz.
- Please continue to work with your student to improve speed and accuracy of multiplication facts. Ask them about their progress in becoming a five-star general! Practice at home will help increase the success of the student.
- We are continuing with our Life Science Unit focusing on Trees & Plants.
- Leaf Projects are due this Wednesday, November 2.
- We will be dissecting flowers on Friday!
- I have decided to modify the spelling assignments due to the lack of classroom time to work on them. Students will be required to completie two choices rather than three. They must choose one assignment from the A Column & one assignment from the B Column. Choices and completed assignment should all be stapled together and are due on Friday. They will still be required to do a cursive worksheet for Mrs. Hughes, which also counts as part of their spelling grade. .
- "Don't "METH" with Us" assembly on Monday at 10.
- Conference week begins on November 7th. We will send home reminders this week of your day and time. We are looking forward to seeing you and your student to discuss their progress.
If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to email or call. Have a great week!
